The US Coast Guard Auxiliary

Flotilla 67 Commander: Reminder regarding current security matters on the Hudson River that all recreational boaters need to know:

Naval Protection Zones have been established on the Hudson River and all boats must keep minimum of 100 yards away - violators will risk a "shoot first" experience. All units of the US Coast Guard come under the Office of Homeland Security and monitor channel 16 – For additional information, their website is located at http://www.force67.com. You may contact Don Lloyd at [914] 944-0869 for further information or registration. They also ask boaters to keep their eyes and ears open and report unusual or suspect activity on channel 16 or by phone.
