HRBYCA Meeting – Tuesday, July 29, 2009

Directions to Shattemuc Yacht Club
From Dutchess County: Take US-9 South. At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto US-202 E/US-6 E/US-9 S. Turn right at US-202/US-6/US-9. Continue to follow US-9 South toward Tarrytown. At the Getty Gas Station and Mavis Tires intersection, turn right at Snowden Ave. Travel three stop signs to the bottom of Snowden Avenue. Travel up and over bridge. At the end of the ramp make a right turn. This turn needs to be taken very, very wide. Follow roadway into Shattemuc Yacht Club.

From New Jersey: Take US-9W. Merge onto I-287 E/I-87 S/New York State Thruway S/Tappan Zee Bridge via the ramp on the left to New York City. Take exit 9 for US-9 toward Tarrytown. Turn right at S Broadway/US-9. Continue to follow US-9 into the center of Ossining. Turn left at Main Street. Continue on Secor Road over railroad tracks. At the stop sign make a left on to Westerly Road and travel under the railroad bridge. Follow Westerly Road north to the next railroad bridge. Fork to the left. Follow roadway into Shattemuc Yacht Club.

From Orange County: Take US-9W. Merge onto I-84 E/RT-52 E toward Beacon. Continue to follow I-84 E. Take exit 13 for US-9 South. Merge onto US-9. At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto US-202 E/US-6 E/US-9 South. Turn right at US-202/US-6/US-9. Continue to follow US-9 South toward Tarrytown. From Westchester County: Take Saw Mill River Parkway North. Take the Taconic Pkwy ramp to Albany. Merge onto Taconic State Pkwy North. Take the RT-9A N/RT-100 N exit. Merge onto RT-100/RT-9A. Continue to follow RT-9A. Take the exit toward Shady Farm Road. Turn left at Shady Lane Farm Road. Turn left at Old Albany Post Road. Turn left at N Highland Ave/US-9. At the Getty Gas Station and Mavis Tires intersection, turn right at Snowden Ave. Travel three stop signs to the bottom of Snowden Avenue. Travel up and over bridge. At the end of the ramp make a right turn. This turn needs to be taken very, very wide. Follow roadway into Shattemuc Yacht Club.

By Boat: Shattemuc Yacht Club is located on the east shore of the Hudson River in Ossining, NY about 35 miles north of New York City, about 6 miles north of the Tappan Zee Bridge, and just south of Croton Point. At the docks, Shattemuc Yacht Club has a 4.5 ‘ draft at low tide. There is limited space available. Please contact Coulter Young, coultery@optonline.net or (914) 739-3366 for more information.

By Train: Shattemuc Yacht Club is located less than a half of a mile north of the Ossining Train Station (Hudson Line).

From Dutchess County: Follow US-9 South. Turn right at NY-9D/Rte-9D. Turn left at W Main St/NY-9D/Rte-9D. Continue
to follow NY-9D/Rte-9D. Merge onto I-84 W/NY-52 W via the ramp to Newburgh. Take exit 10S toward Newburgh.
Merge onto NY-32/N Plank Rd. Turn right at NY-218/NY-32/Rte-9W/US-9W/US Route 9W. Continue to follow NY-218/
Rte-9W/US-9W. Turn left at Forge Hill Rd/Sloop Hill Rd/US-9W. Continue to follow Sloop Hill Rd. Continue on Shore Rd/
US-9W. Continue to follow Shore Rd to Cornwall Yacht Club.

From New Jersey:
Take Palisades Interstate Pkwy North toward Bear Mountain. Take exit 15 for CR-106/Gate Hill Road toward Stony
Point. Turn left at Gate Hill Road. Continue on RT-210. Turn left at S Liberty Dr/US-202/US-9W. Turn right at Knights Cor/
Tomkins Avenue. Continue to follow Tomkins Avenue. Turn left at Hudson Drive.

From Orange County: Head north on Palisades Interstate Pkwy N. Continue on US-6 E. At the traffi c circle, take the 3rd
exit onto NY-218/Rte-9W/US-9W/US Route 9W. Continue to follow US-9W/US Route 9W. Turn right at Mountain Rd.
Turn left at Hudson St/NY-218. Turn right at Wood Ave. Turn left at Shore Rd. Continue to follow Shore Rd to Cornwall
Yacht Club.

Turn left at Hudson St/NY-218. Turn left at Shore Rd. Continue to follow Shore Rd to Cornwall Yacht Club.

HRBYCA Bimonthly Board of Trustees Meetings

Regular Board of Directors (BOD) meetings are held on the last Tuesdays of February, April, June, August, October, and December. All Members of HRBYCA are welcomed to attend and take part in any discussions. Beginning at 7pm, meetings are held at Peekskill Yacht Club. PLEASE NOTE: Scheduled meeting may change without prior notice or posting to the site.
